TapOut is a rhythm-based interactive experience about defining and sustaining a sense of self inside a system that does not adapt to you.
You begin by creating a rhythm using two keys. That rhythm becomes yours—simple, repeatable, familiar.
The system hears you.
Then it continues on its own.
Your task is not to win. Your task is not to match it.
Your task is to hold your rhythm while something else keeps time beside you.
As you play, what you produce is:
- received
- detected
- identified
And then, quietly:
- classified
- normalized
The system does not explain what it is doing. It does not adjust to you. It does not need to.
It continues.
